When Growth Feels Lonely

I think one of the most complex parts of healing is how quietly it can cost you connection.

People start to feel distant.
Conversations feel flat.
You notice things you used to ignore — red flags, harmful jokes, emotional labor hidden as friendship.

It’s not that you’ve become unlovable. It’s that you’ve become honest.

In somatic healing, we learn that when you shift your patterns, your relationships often shift too. Sometimes that looks like deeper intimacy. Other times, it seems like a loss.

Growth doesn’t always bring applause. Sometimes it brings silence.
Not because you’re failing — but because you’re evolving.
This week’s Porch Prompt is: What part of your healing feels invisible to others?

You may be grieving alone. You may be blooming in solitude.
That doesn’t make your healing any less holy.

The porch is always here, especially when it feels like no one else is.

With tenderness for your becoming,
Kristi
